Graham Jones MSc, FCILT, I Eng., MSOE, MI Plant E., MIOM

Graham is a "hands on" consultant with over thirty years management experience in the food industry. He is a keen environmentalist who served with the British Antarctic Survey and spent two winters on Antarctic Bases followed by a period as Third Engineering Officer on the Antarctic supply vessel the Royal Research Ship Shackleton.

Graham has combined careers in bakery operations and engineering management with senior sales and logistics management positions in the food industry; executive interim management roles and international consulting assignments but believes strongly in life long learning and has recently achieved an MSc in International Logistics and Supply Chain Management awarded by Glamorgan University.

During his career, Graham has managed large industrial bread bakeries; smaller craft bakeries, large automated biscuit factories, and chilled foods companies where he consistently improved operating efficiencies and profit margins. He has also been a national accounts manager responsible for developing profitable customer relationships at senior level with major retailers, and logistics planning manager for a large UK bakery group. More recently Graham has worked as the interim Managing Director of K-Salat (a leading prepared salads manufacturer in Denmark), as interim General Manager at Northumbrian Fine Foods, and as a short term consultant with the International Finance Corporation, a division of The World Bank.

The core focus of Graham's consultancy experience has been to help clients improve performance across all aspects of their value chain, including market development strategy, sales and operations planning, procurement, manufacturing, distribution and energy management. In his consulting career, Graham has combined a strategic focus with strong analytical skills and an ability to communicate at all levels of an organisation.
